A deep ruby, with a smoothy palate, natural acidity and toasted aftertaste.
The spice nose points to the old world, the green pepper indicates a syrah variety and a hot bluberry fruit suggest a warm climate like Tuscany, but the maturation is correct for 2008.
The variety is clear even for a soft impact forward, followed by rounded tannins. The balance and a polite use of the wood (not only new french oak) points to a good quality wine.
The price could be around 20 euros minimum.
