Marlborough Wither Hills Wairau valley pinot noir 2008

A bright ruby with intense strawberry and cappuccino, supple and pretty persistent.

The colour is a typical from pn. The wood is sweet like a French oak from the first impression and so obtrusive to suggest with the fruity nose and high alcohol (14%) a new world wine.

The balance and the finesse point to New Zealand (will be a Marlborough from silty alluvial loams over depp stony river deposits, in the heart of central Wairau Valley).

The wine is a 2008, now on his peaking and with few years more to drink.
